Ag-tech Shake-up Challenge

2020 Ag-tech Shake-up - Header.jpg

The Ag-tech Shake-Up is an in-person event open to all Canterbury-based tertiary students. In teams, you will work together over two days to come up with an innovative technology or identify new value-add sustainable products in the food, fibre and agritech (FFA) sectors. Your idea could be anything from a fabulous new food or fibre product, a ground-breaking underlying technology, or solutions to assist on-farm automation and decision making.

The Challenge will run over 2 days: Friday 25 September & Saturday 26 September 2020. During the 2 days, you will get coaching from B.linc Innovation and UCE staff and receive mentoring and input from industry experts. The Challenge is a perfect opportunity to meet some new people, hone your skills, build your CV, experience some new ways of working and have a real impact in Canterbury!

On the final day of Ag-tech Shake-up, your team will pitch your concept to a panel of judges. The top ideas will get a share of the $3,000 cash prize pool as well as the opportunity to enter the ChristchurchNZ Food Fibre and Agritech Supernode Challenge, to take your ideas to the next level!
