What we do

Lincoln University’s State of the Land project, brings people together through a diverse calendar of events to connect, collaborate and tackle the big issues facing Aotearoa New Zealand’s agriculture, food and fibre sector.

Through networking events, panel discussions, workshops and forums, State of the Land creates space for conversation and idea-sharing across the sector. Our events are designed to engage a wide range of audiences—from farmers and growers to researchers, startups, and industry leaders—fostering cross-sector connection and addressing topical challenges from climate resilience to innovation and sustainability.

At its core, State of the Land is about creating opportunities for collaboration. We aim to spark meaningful dialogue, showcase emerging ideas, and support the sector’s ongoing evolution by building a strong, connected community.

Join us at an upcoming event to be part of the conversation shaping the future of food and fibre in Aotearoa.
